KOROTKOV SERGEY SERGEYEVICH First Deputy General Director of JSC "Russian Aircraft Corporation "MiG" Korotkov Sergey Sergeevich was born in 1959, July 18. In 1983 he graduated from the S.Ordjonikidze Moscow Aviation Institute (Faculty of Airplane Construction). After graduation from the Institute he was assigned to P.O. Sukhoy Moscow Machine Building Plant (now JSC " Sukhoy DB"). In 1986-1988 he serviced in the Armed Forces as an air technician. Upon service completion, he returned to P.O. "Sukhoy. Moscow Machine Building Plant". He started his job as a mechanical engineer. In several years he became the Chief Designer of "Sukhoy DB ", after that he was assigned as the Sukhoy DB's Deputy General Director and Director for Programs Coordination. As a design engineer he participated in the Su-25, Su-27, Su-33, Su-30MK, Su-29, Su-34 programs. In the position of the Chief Designer he headed activities on developing and carrying out the tests of Su-47 "Berkut" aircraft. He developed the principles of designing, production processes and testing techniques for combat aircraft with low radar signature and with large portion of airframe structures made of composite materials. Since 2003 he has been taking a post of the Deputy General Director for Programs Management of JSC "Company "Sukhoy". In January 11, 2009 he was designated to the position of the First Deputy General Director of JSC "RAC "MiG". He is the Chairman of Board of Directors of JSC "V.P.Chkalov Novosibirsk Aircraft Production Association" and JSC "Aviatest". Sergey Korotkov is awarded with the Order of Honour. He is the Russian Federation Government Prize Winner, Honoured Designer of the Russian Federation and the author of a number of patents and inventions, and a candidate of technical science. Married, has two sons. |
