Vladimir Putin inspected the export version of MiG-35 at MAKS-2019

The export version of MiG-35 aircraft was demonstrated
to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin at MAKS-2019 airshow.

Director General of “MiG” Corporation Ilya Tarasenko reported on capabilities of the new aviation complex to the head of the state.

Designed according to requirements of perspective foreign customers, the export version of multirole aviation complex is characterized by changed airframe shape and renewed on-board radar.
MiG-35 is equipped with active electronically scanned array radar (AESA), capable to lock on and track up to 30 air targets at once, opto-electronic reconnaissance complex and optical locator station for search, tracking and scanning of air, ground and above-water area.
RD-33MK turbojet engines used on MiG-35 in combination with unique characteristics of airframe ensure the aircraft super maneuverability, high thrust-to-weight ratio and effectiveness in air combat. Modular system of avionics and SW open architecture enable to use all existing serial weapons, future air weapons and integrate the customer’s weapons.
Guests and participants of air show can learn about technical innovations and new combat capacities of MiG aircraft at special multimedia exposition located opposite chalet of PJSC “UAC”.
“MiG” Corporation participates in the airshow as a part of united exposition of PJSC “UAC”, SC “Rostec”, wherein visitors will find MiG-29 simulator complex, holographic table for training of engineering and technical specialists, unique holographic test bench with detailed description of combat capabilities of MiG-35 aircraft.
During the airshow the management of “MiG” Corporation planned a number of meetings with Russian and foreign partners to discuss supplies of new aircraft, maintenance and upgrade of earlier supplied aircraft.
“During the last three years we have made a significant progress in MiG-35 program. We set up the production of the aircraft in the shortest period of time, carried out its tests, within two years and a half we moved from design and development to the contract with the MoD”, emphasizes the Director General of JSC “RAC “MiG” Ilya Tarasenko.
MiG-29 fighters supplied before 1990-s are planned to be replaced with MiG-35 aircraft in the forces. According to Ilya Tarasenko, MiG-29SMT or K/KUB aircraft supplied to the Military Space Forces will be in service alongside with MiG-35.
